AlNoure Academy Arabic Language School (ALNAAS) (ALNAAS) أكاديمية النور – المدرسة العربية

About Our School

AlNoure Academy provides a harmonious and well-ordered community, which encourages self-discipline, independence of thought and consideration for others. Our students demonstrate a high level of commitment to academic success, as well as developing the skills and confidence that will equip them for adult life.

Above is a picture from our Cultural day at AlNoure Academy. We invited the local Councillor and Mayor to the event. All our students dressed up in their traditional clothing for the day and we celebrated our diversity within the school and community.

Involvement With Communities

Al Noure Academy has built an excellent reputation among the community. The number of students is continually on the rise, as the population of minority ethnic groups increases and more people become aware of the school and the quality of teaching.

Peter Kyle had visited the Alnoure Academy last year and seen how the school builds confidence as well as skills. The academy teaches children and young people Arabic. They also work in partnership with the Brighton & Hove City Council Ethnic Minority Achievement Service Education who were nominated for the BHCC Big Difference Award at the end of 2018.

Arab & British Culture

Our school staff have a high level of experience in Arabic language and all related cultural issues. They have devoted their time and efforts to serve their community and help the children retain their mother language and positively relate their ethnic background to British culture. They show a very high level of commitment to students’ educational and personal development, by using their knowledge and understanding of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies, to enable learners to achieve their potential.

Community Event

We have involved and helped out in community charity events that are important to us and related to our school ethos.

We have joined and helped with collecting and donating for charities such as Little Hearts Charity, which provides free heart surgery to babies and children and also to Samara’s Aid Appeal, where clothing donations were collected to sent to Syria.

Fundraising Events

We host many fundraising events throughout the year which is also an opportunity for our students, staff and parents to enjoy the day together. We have had successful events such as a Ramadan Bazaar, Food Festival, Ladies Nights and Coffee Mornings.

We welcome collaboration with other communities, charities or individuals to help build up communities and finances for our services. If you would like to know more about fundraising, please contact us.
